Global Clean Energy Electric Terminal Pin and Connector Manufacturer
Tesla has also independently defined the NACS (Tesla New Advanced Charging System) standard, which is an AC and DC integrated socket design designed to provide a more convenient charging method for Tesla models. It can be specifically divided into two categories: AC charging port and DC charging port, and their main uses are as follows.
1. AC charging port
It is mainly used to connect to AC charging piles and input AC power into the vehicle. After the AC power is converted to DC power by the on-board charger, the battery pack is charged. This charging method has relatively low power, so it is often called slow charging.
2. DC charging port
It is mainly used to connect to DC charging piles and directly input DC power into the vehicle battery pack without conversion by the on-board charger. This method has high charging power and fast speed, so it is called fast charging. Tesla's DC charging portconnector pins are divided into CCS1 and CCS2, which are suitable for different markets and power requirements respectively.
Tesla AC and DC connector pins not only improve charging efficiency and convenience. Through compatibility with the CCS standard, Tesla can more easily build charging facilities around the world to meet users' charging needs.
